"As I began to paint, I was distracted by something near my hand. I moved my brush hold out of the way, and noticed that it was a lady bug in flight, trying to land on my hand. I allowed it to land on my hand, and I kept painting. After a brief stay, it flew away; but, not before causing me to pause and think (while I painted) about patience, my process of painting, and how it often mimicks my mood, thoughts, and life itself.
